Ultrademon aka Albert Redwine is the king of seapunk, a micro movement he and his sidekick Zombelle (Shan Beaste) started. The former keyboardist from Josephine Collective left in 2008 to focus on his solo productions as first, Fire for Effect and later, Ultrademon. Here, we interview the intriguing and fascinating producer as we share Podcast 009, a deep, balearic and tech house roll featuring his productions forthcoming on the Midnight Shift label.

What are some of your favorite animes? 
"The Running Man" from the 1989 'Neo Tokyo' short by Yoshiaki Kawaijiri kills me every time. First saw it on Liquid Television on MTV... back when MTV was worth watching. Also, "The Venus Wars", and Lily C.A.T.

How would you describe the podcast mix that you have put together for us?
Deep house waves into a Balearic roll leading us to a progressive tech-house emotion.

What is the vision for your movement or scene, if there is one?
To heighten people's awareness of the possibilities of living in a transmodern world.

Is commerciality an inevitable end for your success?
I don't think anyone would know about what I do without marketing myself.

If you could describe yourself in 3 words?
I'd. rather. not.

Tell us about Coral Records.
We started Coral last fall in an attempt to put quality content out there. Underground electronic sounds with a strong aquatic theme tying everything together. We are shifting to proper distro for the next release and soon after that vinyl. Since we moved to Chicago we have been focusing more on our new project, MAINFRAME, a new multi faceted company that specialises in events. We will also have a boutique opening up soon as well.

Is the movie coming about you true? How is that going and what do you think of it?
I figured that was an April Fool's Day prank.

3 tracks doing it for you right now?
I was playing this track a lot in 2011 and recently pulled it back out "Forget The World (Feat. Beckford) - Zev". Just recently got into a Bjørn, I downloaded his whole discography in a day hah. "Hatten Passer - Bjørn Torske". Really the rest of the tracks I've been digging on are in my mix, specifically the Chymera remix.
